Those that know me well know that I am a huge fan of pretty shoes. So when Hotter got in touch and asked me if I’d like their help to find a perfect pair of shoes, I jumped at the chance.
The Hotter Fit Fortnight campaign is focused around helping customers find their perfect fit following a foot measuring exercise. Hotter shoes come in sizes 3 to 9 and three width fittings so there should be something to fit most feet and get them feeling beautiful.
My Hotter Fit Fortnight Experience
My nearest Hotter store is based with the Intu Merry Hill Shopping Centre, just 10 minutes from home. I headed into the store and was warmly greeted by Alison who was going to be doing my measurements today. Alison showed me over to the fitting area at the back of the store. There were a row of large comfortable chairs and the floor was covered with wonderfully soft carpet. There was also a huge mirror to admire the shoes in too. It really felt like a luxurious fitting area with plenty of space to make your decisions.
Alison measured each of my feet in turn and explained how she not only measures the shoe size but also the width too. I measured as a size 5E, which is their standard width fitting. However, Alison advised that some styles can come up narrow so it’s always best to get them fitted properly in store.
I was then given some time to have a look around the store to see if there was anything that caught my eye. Even though I love high heels, as a busy Mom of two I needed something more practical. However, I still like to wear shoes that are pretty as well as functional. Alison showed Hotter’s range of trainers and pumps. I was really impressed with the range of colours. There were bright options like yellow and red, as well as a stunning range of metallic options, which I think are really on trend at the moment.
After much deliberation, I picked two styles to try on, a metallic silver pair of trainers and a pair of pink and rose gold metallic leather pumps. I tried them on and Alison checked them for me to confirm that they were a good fit. I liked both styles and found them both comfortable. It was the rose gold leather pumps that won me over in the end. I loved the colour and the metallic panelling. I liked the fact that they could be worn with jeans in the day but also for going out in the evening as they looked so smart. The fit felt quite snug however Alison explained that as they were leather they would soften as I wore them. She also advised that there was the option of lacing them up each time, or leaving the laces done up and using the side zip.
I loved my Hotter Fit Fortnight experience in store. I felt really looked after and assured that the shoes were a great fit for me, and was eager to wear them out. For those that aren’t able to get to a Hotter store, Apple users can also now download the brand new Hotter App, giving you access to special offers and the ability to shop directly from the app.
Putting my Hotter Shoes To The Test
Shortly after getting my new Hotter shoes, we headed off to Cornwall for a family holiday. We were staying near Padstow, not far from Coombe Mill Farm where we’d enjoyed our Easter holidays this year too. This gave me the perfect opportunity to put my new shoes to the test. As well as my two Minis, my two nieces were also with us so I needed to be able to run around easily after the children. We had also planned some walks exploring the beautiful scenery around Padstow so hoped my shoes would be comfortable.
Before wearing them for the first time, I had used the Hotter Protector Spray to try to prevent them from any staining. As the shoes are such a light pink colour, I was worried that they would scuff easily and look dirty.
I wore the shoes every day of our holiday, I found them so versatile and they looked great with a range of outfits. Initially I found them a little snug after walking for a while. However, I decided to redo the laces completely so they weren’t so tight, which made a huge difference and were much comfier after that.
My shoes did scuff a little and get marks on them, particularly on the toes. However, as I’d protected them before hand the marks easily wiped off. I’d definitely recommend the spray if buying any lighter colour shoes.
I’m really pleased with my shoes and they have become my favourite pair to turn to now. I love how versatile they are and that they add a splash of colour and sparkle to my outfits. I find the fit comfortable even after wearing them all day long. Thank you Hotter for my Fit Fortnight experience, I’m looking forward to finding my next pair already.
